ESSAYS & MEDITATIONS

This slim section comprises non-fiction writing and essays written on art, activism, legendary playwright August Wilson, and what soon became the bane of the Nomad Junkie's existence in the 21st Century: Gentrification.

Soon to be included are additional essays, art reviews, criticism, and texts such as the 2000 manifesto and speech given at the Oberia Dempsey center -- "Notes from the Underground," the provocative and insightful text that was originally written as the introduction to the 2002 film, As an Act of Protest.

EVERYDAY ACTIVISM (2004)

AUGUST WILSON (2006)

IN DEFENSE OF MY CONTEMPT (GENTRIFICATION BLUES) (2008)

AN UNLIKELY OUTLAW (REVIEW OF MARK FORGY'S MEMOIR "THE FORGER'S APPRENTICE, 2012)
